Last night, Saturday at around 11:00pm, police were alerted to a traffic accident on Dawret San Pawl in St Paul’s Bay.
Responding swiftly, authorities arrived on the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation, revealing a collision between a Toyota Vitz driven by a 29-year-old man from Mġarr and a Honda Fit driven by a 40-year-old man from Mosta. The Honda Fit also carried three passengers: a 35-year-old woman from Xagħra, a 6-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl.
The Toyota driver was reportedly unharmed, but those in the Honda Fit sustained injuries. Emergency medical personnel arrived on-site to provide first aid before transporting the victims to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.
Later medical assessments confirmed that the woman suffered serious injuries, while the other passengers experienced minor injuries.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
