Yesterday, someone brought a circulating online video to my attention. It shows the disgraced prison officer Randolph Spiteri grabbing the arm of a young woman at Identita Malta. He does this in front of everyone including a police officer.
It’s strange how he got involved in this scene because as far as I know he is not working as a security guard. He’s a ministry official delegated to a government entity and enjoys the protection of the Minister of Home Affairs himself. Randolph Spiteri was the prison’s Chief Operating Officer and was fired following reports of abuse on inmates.
He was transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs whilst still receiving his prison salary and delegated to Identita Malta. He’s also a well-known by his colleagues to be a misogynist which also clearly shows in the video.
