Israel is spreading disinformation and deliberately raising tensions in Europe

The Israeli government’s propaganda is increasingly doubling down on its defense of Maccabi Tel Aviv hooligans who descended on the streets of Amsterdam last week, beating up Arabs, damaging private property, and chanting racist songs. The Maccabi Tel Aviv hooligans were trashed by Moroccans after they spent most of their day terrorising Dutch citizens in the streets of Amsterdam as the police refused to intervene. The Israeli hooligans systematically searched and haunted down Arabs throughout the centre of the city before the Moroccans retaliated.

The Israeli government has conducted a successful propaganda campaign to defend the Maccabi hooligans and depict them as victims despite having started a wide and systematic terror campaign against Arabs in Amsterdam. Now, the Israeli government-funded Twitter blue-checkmarks are coordinating a campaign and narrative against Europe which says that Europe needs to get rid of its Muslims and Arabs because illegal immigration is destroying Europe. This campaign is also echoed by the Israeli-owned news and media site Visegrรกd 24.

The intentions and end-goals of the Israeli government are unknown but what is doing right now clearly and explicitly is to push racial tensions higher in Europe in order to prompt the European authorities to take action against Arabs and Muslims in Europe. These are tactics very imitable of Russian psychological operations.

Europe should be responding immediately to these threats by banning the Maccabi Tel Aviv from Europe. Further more, the EU has to see that no public contracts are being rewarded to private military, intelligence and defense contractors who have direct or indirect links with Israel. The EU is currently, not looking out for its security and interests and is still ingratiating with Israel over this incident.

Throughout its history, the EU has been very serious about combating racism and has occasionally taken drastic and effective measures to address it. However, this kind of action seems to be lacking when Israel is the perpetrator.
