A late night accident in Birkirkara has left a 67 year old man seriously injured. The accident happened around 10:30 pm on Triq Dun Karm and involved two vans.
According to police investigations so far, the accident involved a Daihatsu Hijet driven by the injured man, a Birkirkara resident, and a Toyota Double Cabin driven by a 33 year old man from Naxxar. A 67 year old woman from San ฤ wann was also a passenger in the Daihatsu.
The injured were attended to by the emergency services and the driver of the Daihatsu was taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance where he was found to be seriously injured.
Police are investigating.
