In the past few days, police investigations into the case regarding the seizure of 146 kilograms of cocaine at the Malta Freeport have intensified, and a 31-year-old man from Żejtun has been identified and arrested.
As part of the arrest a large amount of cash, luxury vehicles and high value jewellery was seized.
The suspect was expected to appear in court today at 9:30 am before Magistrate Astrid May Grima, charged with drug trafficking, money laundering and being involved in a criminal organisation among others.
