The second round of matches of the water polo Enemed Cup provided no real surprises although some matches did raise eyebrows. Once against Neptunes Videoslots were made to sweat it out against First Division side Exiles only winning by 10 goals to 7.
Fresh from the fallout of the Dean Bugeja case (who remains excluded from some training sessions and is not being selected), it seems that Neptunes are having problems in defence, and are leaking many goals whilst their attack leaves much to be desired.
Other results were as follows:
Sliema ASC 21 Birzebbuga 5
Valletta 17 Sirens 14
San Giljan 14 Marsaskala 7
Valletta also confirmed their strong form after narrowly losing to Neptunes last week. They managed to overcome Sirens by a 17-14 scoreline and gain their first points in the competition.
