Times of Malta publishes story about corruption scandal following Tourism Minister’s wife following his resignation

Following the resignation of Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo earlier today, The Times of Malta published a story about a scandal involving the wife: the Minister has resigned over a fake public consultancy job awarded to his wife. The Times of Malta are reporting that Amanda Muscat received a €50,000 kickback from an advertiser of the Malta Tourism Authority.

The Malta Tourism Authority is renowned for being used to distribute public funds to Labour Party and government associates. Previous Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo is also under police investigation.
