Yesterday afternoon at about 3:30pm, a traffic accident occurred along Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street in St Julian’s.
Preliminary investigations by the police showed that a 28-year-old man from Żejtun lost control of the car he was driving, a BMW, and it turned upside down. A passenger inside the car was a 25-year-old man also residing in Żejtun.
An ambulance administered medical assistance on site before the younger man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Members of the Civil Protection Department also attended to the incident.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
