Opposition Leader gives an end of year message: avoids mentioning rule-of-law and focuses on standards of living

In his end of year message, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech focused on standards of living and avoided mentioning government scandals or rule-of-law. He did however, say that normality is needed in the country and politics should be more of a discussion about ideas. He added that the Nationalist Party could bring stability, prosperity and modernity.

The leader of the Nationalist Party also appealed to his listeners to get in contact with the Nationalist Party in an apparent pledge by the party leader to open the party for further communication with the general public.

The Nationalist Party refused to grant permission to its Shadow Minister of Finance to be interviewed by The Maltese Herald.
