Earlier today, the Attorney-General filed charges in Court against 16 individuals and companies over the Magisterial Inquiry of 17 Black. Some of those charged include Yorgen Fenech, Kieth Schembri, Konrad Mizzi, Brian Tonna, Karl Cini, Paul Apap Bologna, Nexia BT, BTI Management, Hearnville Inc, Tilgate Inc, Wings Development Ltd, Wings Investment Ltd and Kittiwake Ltd. The suspects are to be arraigned in Court in the coming weeks.
The Magisterial Inquiry was requested by previous Opposition and Nationalist Party Leader Simon Busuttil, David Casa and Jason Azzopardi over investigations by Daphne Caruana Galizia. Yorgen Fenech is currently in court awaiting trial on charges for commissioning the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
17 Black was Yorgen Fenech’s company in Dubai which was meant to pass on payments to Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi in their companies based in Panama. Daphne Caruana Galizia unraveled the corrupt scheme behind the Electrogas project which is still running till this day.
