Yesterday, at around 3:15 pm, during a routine traffic check on Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa, Marsa, police officers observed a vehicle breaking traffic rules and making a sudden U-turn upon noticing their presence.
Officers immediately pursued the Range Rover and signaled the driver to stop, successfully bringing the vehicle to a halt shortly after.
Investigations revealed that the driver, a 19-year-old male, was operating the vehicle without a valid driving license or insurance. Further checks confirmed that he was breaching court-imposed conditions related to a previous bail agreement.
The vehicle also carried two minors, aged 11 and 12. The young driver was promptly arrested, and the vehicle was impounded as part of the ongoing investigation.
The accused is scheduled to appear before Magistrate Abigail Critien, today at 10:00 am. Authorities continue their inquiries into the matter.
