Hamas returns 4 Israeli female hostages in bizarre celebratory ceremony

Hamas has handed over 4 Israeli female hostages to Israel as part of the ongoing ceasefire process. They are being freed in exchange for the liberty of up to 200 Palestinians from Israeli prisons. Before being released to the Red Cross, the 4 female hostages, wearing IDF fatigues, were forced to wave at a live camera broadcasting in the centre of Tel Aviv. Behind them a banner showed messages marking the “Al-Aqsa Flood”, a reference to October 7th, and the “resistance” of Hamas in Gaza against Israel.

After the bizarre ceremony, the hostages were handed over to the Red Cross who were driven to Israel. The ceremony in Gaza was broadcasted live by Al-Jazeera.

This was the second exchange of Israeli hostages against Palestinian prisoners between Hamas and Israel which will see up to 33 Israeli hostages freed against hundreds of Palestinian prisoners according to a ceasefire deal.
