Following investigations and surveillance related to a shop located in Triq l-Alka, St. Paul’s Bay, two men were arrested in connection with suspected drug trafficking.
The arrests were made earlier today and included a 47-year-old man from Ivory Coast and a 34-year-old man from Mali.
During the searches on both males and within the store, police seized circa 50 packets of suspected cannabis found in circumstances where it is believed they were prepared for trafficking. A sum of money was also seized.
The two males remain in custody as police continue their inquiries into the incident.
