A 75-year-old man from Ħaż-Żebbuġ is in danger of losing his life after falling from a ladder while carrying out work in a field at Wied il-Ħesri, Siġġiewi.
The police were alerted to the incident at around 8:30 pm. A medical team, along with members of the Civil Protection Department, was dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. The man was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries and in a critical condition.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has been informed of the case and has launched an inquiry into the incident. Meanwhile, police investigations are still ongoing.
