Alex Borg, the Nationalist Party member who nominated Charles Bonello for the post of Secretary-General, has congratulated him on his new role after the other contenders withdrew their nominations.
Alex Borg and Adrian Delia, backed by the DB Group, have pushed Charles Bonello’s nomination at the expense of his rivals, Stefan Caruana and Liam Sciberras. Adrian Delia and Alex Borg want to steer the Nationalist Party away from the rule-of-law crisis with the aim of emulating Labour as an alternative government.
