Extended explanation about comments provided to Newsweek

Our investigation on Chun Wang has been featured in Newsweek. We also provided our comments to them, and we would like to clarify that our comment that Newsweek published was in particular reference to Chun Wang’s Russian sanction breaking within his mining pool in Russia.

As with regard to evidence of his connections to or with North Korean hackers, online criminals and Russian-affiliated accounts, that is extensive and has been detected on the Ethereum blockchain, which is also less opaque than the bitcoin blockchain. You can read through the evidence in the list of articles here.

Newsweek also reported that Chun Wang is holding meetings with the Norwegian military. We don’t find this surprising given that he is a Russian and Chinese intelligence asset. We also find it unsurprising that Chun Wang is promoting his project and space trip with SpaceX as a scientific adventure when this is exactly what a Russian spy would have said and done.
