MFA to Launch Disciplinary Investigation into Incidents
The Malta Football Association (MFA) has announced that it will appoint a Disciplinary Inspector to investigate the regrettable incidents that occurred at the end of the match between St. Patrickโs and Mosta in the 360 Malta Premier League.
The MFA is determined not to allow anyone to tarnish the image of local football or ruin the experience for genuine supporters who behave respectfully. Additionally, the association will analyze the organization and security planning of the match in question to ensure that all safety and health regulations were adhered to.
Malta Premier League condemns incidents
The Malta Premier League (MPL) strongly condemns the incidents that took place at the end of the match between Mosta and ลปabbar St. Patrickโs.
Without delving into the specifics of what occurred, the MPL emphasizes that, based on the information available, there is no indication that supporters were involved in these incidents.
On the contrary, the behavior of the hundreds of fans who attended the first three matches in Gozo was exemplary.
The MPL welcomes the investigation announced by the Malta Football Association (MFA) and extends its gratitude to the law enforcement officers who were present, even on the ferries transporting supporters.
Additionally, the MPL thanks the Ministry for Gozo and the Gozo Football Association (GFA) for their support in making the Gozo Weekender a success.
