A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking following weeks of police investigations, the Malta Police Force confirmed.
Authorities apprehended the suspect at a residence in Zejtun, where a search uncovered several sachets of heroin, multiple mobile phones, knives, and shotgun shells. Officers also seized a substantial sum of cash believed to be linked to illicit activities.
The suspect appeared in court this morning, where he pleaded not guilty. He has been remanded in custody under preventative arrest as legal proceedings continue.
