Malta Shines at ISKA AMA European Championships 2025 with historic medal haul

The curtain has officially closed on the ISKA AMA European Championships 2025, and Malta couldn’t have asked for a more spectacular ending. Widely praised as the best edition of the Championships to date, this year’s event featured a dazzling opening ceremony and three days of flawless organization—setting a new benchmark in international kickboxing.

Team Malta delivered its strongest-ever performance, securing an incredible 5th place out of 21 competing nations, and bringing home a total of 60 medals:

  • 16 Gold

  • 19 Silver

  • 25 Bronze

For a small nation, Malta continues to punch well above its weight. This achievement is a testament to the passion, dedication, and unity of everyone involve. This ranges from our relentless athletes and coaches to the Malta Kickboxing Association and Gladiators Promotions, who have worked tirelessly to elevate Malta’s name on the global stage.

Isaac Chetcuti, President of the Malta Kickboxing Association, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire team behind the scenes—workers, officials, fighters, coaches, national directors, and the supportive crowd. The overwhelmingly positive feedback reflects the incredible energy and professionalism that made this Championship an unforgettable success.

With sights now set on the ISKA World Championships in Brisbane, Australia, Maltese kickboxing is showing no signs of slowing down.
