This morning at approximately 9:30 am, the police were alerted to a traffic accident on Tal-Barrani Road in Żejtun.
Officers responded immediately to the scene, where preliminary investigations revealed that a collision had occurred between a Mazda Demio, driven by a 46-year-old man from Żejtun, and a Honda motorcycle ridden by a 79-year-old man, also a resident of Żejtun.
A medical team was dispatched to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
