A 71 year old man from Xewkija was found dead off Comino at around 1pm. The man who is reportedly a fisherman was spotted by an AFM helicopter lying face down in the sea off San Niklaw Bay, Comino. Sources told the Maltese Herald that the man was out fishing during the night and did not return in the morning when he was reported missing.
The lifeless body was brought ashore at Mgarr Harbour, Gozo earlier this afternoon. A magisterial inquiry has been opened.
