Mike Waltz is fired as National Security Advisor: temporally replaced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio

The US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has been fired from the cabinet by President Donald Trump, following the Signal-chat scandal, in which Mike Waltz a journalist to a confidential Signal group that discuss plans for US attacks on Yemen. The bombing campaign in Yemen is currently being under heavy scrutiny for its lack of professionalism, and the indiscriminate manner in which the US are bombings targets in Yemen.

The US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is also accused of sharing confidential details about the Yemen attacks in a separate Signal group-chat with his relatives and lawyers. He repeatedly replied with a tirade of insults to the journalists when confronted with these stories.

Mike Waltz has now been nominated for US Ambassador to the United Nations and State Secretary Marco Rubio will temporally replace him as National Security Advisor.

The day before, Mike Waltz praised President Trump during a cabinet meeting, in what has now become a regular, publicised ritual before each session with cabinet members showering the President with praise
