On Sunday, at around 8:00 pm, police were alerted to a disturbance at an establishment on Triq Ta’ Ċenċ in Sannat.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 33-year-old man from Nadur suffering from injuries allegedly caused by a glass bottle. A medical team was called in, and the man was transported by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital.
Shortly afterward, police were informed that a 42-year-old woman, also from Nadur, had already been admitted to hospital earlier with injuries sustained during the same altercation.
Both individuals were certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Police are currently speaking to a person in connection with the incident to assist in the investigation, which remains ongoing.
