Actual journalists don’t attack independent journalists: propagandists do

I haven’t seen such visceral and widespread hatred by Labour Party supporters toward an independent journalist since Daphne Caruana Galizia was alive. Despite regular threats, public references to my family members (also subtle threats), and a visceral and hateful campaign against our work, no journalist in Malta has stepped up to come to our defence.

The Institute of Maltese Journalists is also silent (unsurprisingly).

Joseph Muscat’s and Keith Schembri’s propaganda outlets are trying to denigrate our work by describing as a “blogger”. The term “blogger” in Malta was used repetitively by Saviour Balzan and MaltaToday to denigrate and ridicule the work of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Prior to her murder, Daphne Caruana Galizia was attacked relentlessly in a visceral propaganda campaign run co-jointly by Labour’s propagandists such as Neville Gafa and Saviour Balzan and his newspapers, MaltaToday and Illum.

Today, Joseph Muscat’s propagandists have found a common enemy once again and they are building a hateful campaign that also includes explicit and public threats.

MaltaToday and Illum are also running a series of articles about me with defamatory lies and outright fantasies and inventions. The articles are regular. This makes it difficult to reply to each and every lie and defamatory claim, so for now I am choosing not to reply to these claims, but instead point out the reality of who Saviour Balzan actually is: Keith Schembri’s and Joseph Muscat’s propagandist.
