A 61-year-old man from Mqabba is in a critical condition after falling from a height of approximately one storey while on a ladder in the courtyard of a private residence.
The incident occurred on Friday around 10:00 am on Triq Santa Mansweta in Lija.
A medical team was dispatched to the scene to provide immediate assistance, and the man was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries and is in danger of losing his life.
Investigations are ongoing and are being conducted by the Police in collaboration with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), as they work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
