In October of last year, our parent publishing house, Dar Camilleri, launched a new and independent Maltese news outlet: The Maltese Herald.
The Maltese Herald is currently run by two part-time journalists and myself as the working founder. Dar Camilleri, which manages all publications and financial operations, employs one additional part-time staff member.
Since its launch, The Maltese Herald has established itself as Maltaโs leading voice in the press on finance and foreign affairs. Weโve built an intelligent, discerning readership that places a high level of trust in our reporting. We now reach over 100,000 unique readers per week, with up to a quarter of our audience coming from outside Malta.
We are being quoted by the foreign press, and we are establishing contacts and sources internationally. We have begun building an international infrastructure.
We are securing a stable and consistent operational flow, and the next step is to transition to profitability. Achieving this will require more resources, additional staff, extended work hours, and expanded content.
We are doing this against all odds and through grueling processes, in which we are also challenged by much larger and more aggressive local competitors. Our aim is to keep growing despite all of these challenges.
To support our continued growth, we are issuing a new debt-call financing round of up to โฌ100,000.
We are accepting loans starting from a minimum of โฌ1,000, with a guaranteed minimum interest rate of 5%.
I am the sole and single owner of Dar Camilleri and The Maltese Herald.
