Joseph Portelli is currently conducting a slick media and propaganda campaign in his favour with sophisticated PR personnel to push the narrative that he had nothing to do with the building collapse next to his construction site.
He is also promoting the narrative that one of his architects, who worked on his construction site, saved up to 32 people before warning that the neighbouring building was about to collapse. Most of the press quickly latched onto Joseph Portelli’s statements, readily accepting them as true without verification.
If anything, Portelli’s architects may potentially bear responsibility for the collapse, and the press should not automatically treat his claims as fact.
Joseph Portelli has a reputation of using illegal methods to push his development projects and also has a reputation of dressing his work with heavy PR.
