A 40-year-old Indian man has died after falling from a height of approximately five storeys in an internal courtyard of an apartment block in Triq Giorgio Borg Olivier, Rabat, Gozo.
The incident occurred on Sunday night at around 8:30 p.m., when police were called to assist at the residential block. According to initial investigations, the man had become locked inside the apartment where he resided and attempted to exit through a window. Tragically, he fell and suffered fatal injuries.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were dispatched to the scene, but the man was certified dead on site.
Magistrate Simone Grech has been informed of the case and appointed several experts to assist in the ongoing inquiry. Police investigations are still underway.
