A 39-year-old Libyan man from Swieqi was seriously injured following an argument that broke out in a car park on Triq San Ġorġ, St Julian’s during the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m., when police were alerted to a disturbance at the location. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the man with neck injuries, allegedly caused by a glass bottle during the altercation.
A medical team was called to the site, and the victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has been informed and appointed an inquiry into the case. Police investigations are ongoing, and a search is underway for the alleged aggressor.
