ASA Malta announces U16 National Water Polo Squad for European Aquatics Championships in Istanbul

The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta has officially announced the U16 National Water Polo Team that will represent the country at the upcoming European Aquatics U16 Championships, set to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 7th to 13th July 2025.

U16 Head Coach Mr Anthony Farrugia, alongside Head Coach Mr Milan Cirovic, has finalised the list of selected players following a rigorous evaluation process. The team will compete against Europeโ€™s elite youth squads in what promises to be a challenging and highly competitive tournament.

The selected players come from five leading Maltese water polo clubs, highlighting the depth of talent being developed across the country:

Club secretaries have been formally notified and are requested to inform the respective players of their selection.

The European Aquatics U16 Championships provide a valuable international platform for Maltaโ€™s rising stars to gain experience, test their skills against top-tier opposition, and further Maltaโ€™s growing reputation in the sport.
