Last night at around 9:15 p.m., police were notified of a traffic accident on Triq Borġ Għarib in Għajnsielem, Gozo.
Police officers immediately arrived on the scene, where preliminary investigations indicated that a 22-year-old Albanian man, residing in Żebbuġ, Gozo, had lost control of the Renault Megane he was driving and crashed into a wall.
A medical team was called to the scene, and the driver was transported by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital. He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
