Matthew Agius (Sliema Beach Soccer) and Shakira Bugeja (St George’s) were crowned Best Players of the National Beach Soccer Championship, which came to a close last weekend.
Both players played pivotal roles in guiding their teams to championship victories. Agius also made his mark as the tournament’s top scorer, showcasing his sharp finishing throughout the competition.
In the men’s category, the Best Goalkeeper award went to Brandon Muscat of Sliema. In the women’s competition, aside from Bugeja’s Best Player recognition, Edna Vargas of Parr Mela finished as top scorer, while Emma Grech of Swieqi earned the Best Goalkeeper title.
The awards were presented by Mauro Camilleri Darmanin, President of the Malta Beach Soccer Association.
