In a press conference in Birżebbuġa with a backdrop of ongoing road works, ADPD condemned delays and lengthy road works as they impact the health and the well-being of residents with noise and dust pollution.
Melissa Bagley and ADPD leader Sandra Gauci also demanded the government to provide full transparency on public road works by committing to publish all details of upcoming and planned works in advance, including costs, the workers involved, and the start and end dates. The ADPD leader noted that the St Paul’s Bay Local Council, where she serves as a councilor, has already begun implementing a similar practice.
The ADPD leader reiterated that road works are necessary but full transparency is needed to improve their implementation and keep residents informed.
