Israel increases airstrikes in the north of Gaza to push people beyond the Netzarim Corridor

Israel has increasingly concentrated its airstrikes in Gaza in the north of Gaza and Gaza City during the past few days in an effort to quickly push out all the of Palestinians remaining in the north of Gaza beyond the Netzarim Corridor. Israel intends to fully and permanently occupy the north of Gaza.

Over 800 people were killed across Gaza last week as a result of continued airstrikes and more than 80 people killed by airstrikes in the past 24 hours with most of the casualties being reported in the north of Gaza.

US President Donald Trump has been demanding a ceasefire and his administration is currently engaged with Qatar to broker a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Hamas has released a statement declaring its willingness for a ceasefire, but has made it clear that it is not prepared to relinquish control over Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel is continuing with its genocidal operation “Gideon’s Chariots” with the ultimate objective to expel Palestinians from Gaza, amid reports of a rising civilian death toll. Israel has shown no public interest in a ceasefire so far.

The IDF is currently pushing most of the Palestinians in Gaza outside of the cities and towns to the campsites across the coast including the Al-Mawasi area which the IDF is designating as a “safe zone”.

Footage below shows Gaza City and Jabalija in north Gaza respectively.
