Maltese shooters took part in the Shotgun Individual Events at the ISSF World Cup held in Lonato, Italy.
In the Skeet Men event, Andre Cassar delivered an impressive performance, finishing 16th out of 176 athletes with a score of 122/125. This was just one target short of qualifying for a shoot-off to enter the final stages. Marlon Attard followed closely with 120/125, while Liam Sciberras hit 113/125 targets.
In the Trap Men event, Gianluca Chetcuti recorded a score of 115/125. He was followed by James Jr Galea with 112/125, Nico Sciberras with 107/125, and Christopher Vella, who scored 103/125.
In terms of international results, Vincent Hancock of the USA claimed victory in the Skeet event, scoring 124/125 plus 8 in the qualifying shoot-off, and 53/60 with an additional shoot-off of 7 in the finals.

The next international competition for Maltese shooters is the European Championship, scheduled to take place in Châteauroux, France, from 23 July to 7 August 2025.
