A massive fire has engulfed the Ħal Far Recycling Plant at the C and V Polymers premises at around 8pm on Friday. Nearby factories in the vicinity were also damaged as Civil Protection personnel worked for hours to bring the blaze under control.
The smoke could be seen for as far as Gudja with several residents in neighboring localities such as Birżebbuġa reporting ambulances passing through their town. Firefighters are currently tackling the blaze. This is a developing story.
