A car crashed into a hairdresser’s salon in St Venera early on Thursday morning, causing significant damage to the premises.
The incident took place at around 8am, when the vehicle ploughed into Marica’s Salon in Cannon Road. Police officers and members of the Civil Protection Department responded quickly to the scene.
On-site observations showed the car had smashed through the glass frontage and ended up almost entirely inside the salon. Fortunately, no one was believed to be inside the premises at the time of the crash.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, with the driver of the vehicle believed to have sustained injuries. Their condition was not immediately known.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
