One of the biggest and regretful mistakes I made in my life was to believe in the supposed socialist good will of many in Labour who at the end of the day turned out to be charlatans and first-class bullshitters. Just like Judge Toni Abela who is currently on media tour speaking about his character of integrity and great sense of justice.
In an interview with the public broadcaster, Judge Toni Abela said that he was never influenced by the press when he was a Judge, which is a strange thing to say after having based one of your most important judgements on press reports written by your friends that weren’t even included in the case’s acts.
He also plays the victim over being refused an appointment as a Judge of the European Court following a scandal that was initially revealed and published by Daphne Caruana Galizia during the time when he was Deputy-Leader of the Labour Party. In a recording that Daphne Caruana Galizia had uploaded to her website, Toni Abela can be heard saying that when he was informed that a Labour Party club barman was dealing cocaine at the bar, he expelled him from the Labour Party and urged with a Police officer not to press any charges. This is the crime that Toni Abela says he knows nothing about.
