Japanese cat-serial killer in Malta likely influenced by Chinese Cat Serial-Killer: Wang Chaoyi

The story of Okamura Satoshi, the Japanese iGaming employee in Malta who went on an extended killing spree of the country’s stray cats, may have had a likely influence, as his horrific and cruel actions have went unpunished to this day. Wang Chaoyi is the famous Chinese cat-torturer who became famous around mid-2023 when he uploaded a video of himself torturing and killing a cat in a blender. He had released hundreds of videos of him torturing and killing cats and kittens in the many macabre and cruel ways. His wife is also thought to have helped him produce and upload these videos.

After popular outrage online, Wang Chaoyi was detained for 15 days but subsequently released. He was never reprimanded or prosecuted for his actions because animal torture in China is not illegal. China has a very tolerant attitude and culture toward the maltreatment of animals, and also has large markets for domestic dogs, which are used for various purposes, including consumption as human food and the use of their skins. Some European breeds like Greyhounds are also exported to China for running purposes and human consumption.

Since Wang Chaoyi’s videos of animal torture from China appeared online, such content has become more prolific and popular, with Chinese citizens continuing to upload similar videos to this day. Earlier this year, another Chinese citizen surnamed Cai from the Zhejiang province was also detained for 15 days for uploading a video of himself brutally torturing and killing a cat.

I found this article to be most disturbing. This should have come with a warning that it contains extreme animal cruelty. I stopped reading half way through.

As usual this paper twists the facts to fit the narative. Unless you have the benefit of clairvoyance you can’t make this extrapolation especially since the guy in Malta was Japanese and Japan has a very positive attitude towards cats
