Wolt and Bolt drivers held a vigil for their deceased colleague, Khim Bahadur Pun, accompanying his body from Mater Dei Hospital to the airport. His remains will be repatriated to Nepal for a burial ceremony.
More than 100 bikers rode in procession through the streets, watched by onlookers, as they paid their final respects.
Khim Bahadur Pun was killed last Sunday while delivering food to residences, struck by a 17-year-old driving a Maserati. The court has prohibited the publication of the driverโs name.
Up to โฌ30,000 have been collected in a donations by around 1253 people in a campaign to help fund the repatriation of the body and aid his family. Khim Bahadur Pun leaves behind him a wife and three children. The funding campaign can be found here.
