75-year-old man seriously injured after being hit by car in Raħal Ġdid

A 75-year-old man from Ħaż-Żabbar was seriously injured on Monday afternoon after being hit by a car in Raħal Ġdid.

The accident happened at around 4:00pm in Triq Ħal Luqa. Police said that preliminary investigations revealed the man was hit by a Nissan March driven by a 29-year-old man from Santa Luċija.

A medical team assisted the victim on site before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
