Motorcyclist seriously injured in Mellieħa traffic accident

A 23-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Triq il-Marfa, Mellieħa, on Monday evening.

The incident occurred at around 8:15pm, when preliminary investigations revealed that a collision took place between a Daelim motorcycle ridden by the 23-year-old and a Citroen C4 driven by a 36-year-old man from Mġarr.

A medical team and an ambulance were called to the scene, with the motorcyclist transported to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
