Apparently, the Labour Party is not taking any action against its Mqabba Deputy-Mayor Jonathan Dingli, after he made a very misogynist comment on social media directed at Adrian Delia. After reading his comments to the Times, I’m very much convinced this man needs professional help.
This kind of violent and mysogonistic discourse also reminds me of Alex Vella Gera’s character in “Li Tkisser Sewwi”. It’s very typical of old misogynist male discourse that has normalised domestic violence and violence on women for years.
The Labour Party can’t even uphold basic standards in its ranks, especially those standards which supposedly relate to its policies, but I am also pretty sure that there will be an extensive discussion about this issue in the Labour Party’s Executive Committee.
Note that just a couple of months ago, Labour Party politicians were up in arms against Robert Aquilina over his vexatious criminal and domestic violence case.
