38-year-old man arrested over series of burglaries

Police have arrested a 38-year-old man from Georgia in connection with a string of burglaries and attempted break-ins at private residences across central Malta.

Following weeks of intensive investigations, officers identified the suspect as the individual allegedly linked to at least ten separate cases. According to police, he is believed to have carried out six burglaries in Sliema, Ta’ Xbiex, and Msida, as well as four attempted burglaries in Sliema, Gżira, and Birkirkara.

The man is currently in custody as inquiries continue. He is expected to be charged in court in the coming days.
