At around 1:00am on Friday, police were informed that assistance was needed inside an establishment in Triq Gorg Borg Olivier, St Julian’s.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 40-year-old American man had, for unknown reasons, fallen from a height of around one storey inside the premises.
A medical team from Mater Dei Hospital was called to the site, and the victim was transported to hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as suffering from serious injuries and is in danger of losing his life.
Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has been informed of the case and appointed an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
