30-year-old man arrested in Marsa after police seize suspected drugs and cash

A man has been arrested in Marsa after police discovered several packets of suspected drugs during a routine patrol earlier this week.

The incident unfolded in Triq is-Serkin, Marsa, when two officers noticed suspicious movements. Upon further inspection, a 30-year-old local resident was found to be in possession of multiple packets of what police believe to be synthetic cannabis, heroin, and cocaine. An undisclosed sum of cash, allegedly linked to drug trafficking, was also seized.

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has launched an inquiry into the case. The man was held in custody and was expected to be charged in court today at around 1:00 p.m., before Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici.
