Two people were hospitalised with serious injuries this afternoon following a collision in Triq Bajada, Żabbar.
The accident happened at around 1:30 p.m., when a Honda motorcycle driven by a 52-year-old local resident collided with a bicycle ridden by a 14-year-old boy, also from Żabbar.
Medical teams administered first aid at the scene before both were transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. They were later certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
With the addition of this accident, the number of seriously injured people in separate accidents during the weekend totals 6 individuals.
