Delta Air Lines has announced that it will start two new Summer routes next year to Sardinia and Malta. The flights that will take off from New York JFK Airport for Olbia, Sardinia on 20th May 2026 with 4 weekly flights and June 7th for Malta with 3 weekly flights. The plane servicing the route will be a Boeing 767-300ER.
Air Malta briefly had a direct route to New York in Summer 2000 which was discontinued.
