Villa Arrigo is owned by Osborne Group, owned by the Arrigo family, with Veronica Arrigo (Robert Arrigo’s sister) being married to Julian Zammit Tabona – the father of Edward Zammit Tabona who is is the CEO of Fortina Investments. Duminku, mentioned below, used to serve as a Labour Party’s donor collector to the Zammit Tabona’s during Labour Party fund-raising events.
Coincidentally, just as we are discussing the National Auditor’s report over the land transfer to Fortina Group under the previous Labour administration, the Labour Party had just held an event at one of Michael Zammit Tabona’s establishments: Villa Arrigo.
Michael Zammit Tabona, the head of the family’s grouo is a major donor of the Labour Party. The government now says it wants to recoup the money lost ion the deal although no official action has been taken.
