The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta (ASA) is proud to announce that its President, Karl Izzo, has been officially appointed as a member of the World Aquatics WP4 Committee.
The WP4 Technical Committee is responsible for introducing and promoting the innovative 4v4 water polo format for both men and women. This exciting new version of the game aims to increase its dynamism, boost global participation, and further enhance water poloโs worldwide appeal.
Mr. Izzoโs appointment is a testament to his extensive international experience, deep technical knowledge, and long-standing dedication to the sport. Having previously served as Maltaโs national team coach and a key driving force in developing water polo locally and abroad, Izzo is well-positioned to play a vital role in shaping the future of this new format.
This prestigious role is also highly significant for Malta, placing the country at the forefront of water poloโs global evolution and strengthening its reputation on the international sporting stage.
